Saint John partner Paul Harquail, ACIArb, elected Canadian Maritime Law Association president
Announced at the Canadian Maritime Law Association (“CMLA”) annual general meeting, Saint John partner Paul Harquail, ACIArb, has become the association’s national president, the first from New Brunswick.
Spanning 30 years, Paul’s practice focuses on maritime and transportation law, as well as insurance and corporate-based litigation, tax litigation and environmental law. His clients include P & I clubs, insurance and transportation companies, corporate and personal taxpayers, large corporate interests and companies in the resource/transportation-based industries. Chair of the Firm’s Maritime and Transportation Practice Group, Paul has been consistently recognized by a number of industry publications as a leader in maritime and environmental law.
Paul is a longstanding member of the CMLA, and has previously held the role of national, and eastern, vice-president, as well as chair of the Federal Court Act and Rules Committee.
