Richard Niedermayer, TEP, will speak this afternoon in Halifax for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners seminar, Does Estate Planning End With Incapacity?

Beginning at 2:30 p.m. AST, Richard will review to what extent a third party can undertake estate planning transactions for an individual who is incapable. He will outline some of the positives and negatives of various planning tools such as gifts, trusts and designations, while also taking a closer look at Canadian law and law reforms, to see how the legal landscape may evolve in the future.
