Invest Atlantic conference features three St. John’s lawyers

The upcoming Invest Atlantic conference, September 19 and 20 in St. John’s, will include partners Bruce Grant, QC and Erin Best, as well as associate Giles Ayers, as speakers.

Tuesday, September 19, beginning at 10:30 a.m., Erin and Giles will discuss the tactics for fair equity splits for founders. How to split equity without splitting up will also feature tips and tricks from Erin and Giles to avoid common challenges between shareholders, and will provide insight from startup founders.

Following our 9:30 a.m. sponsored networking break, Wednesday, September 20, Bruce will moderate a session entitled, Financing Firsts: Preparing for 1st Money. Bruce will lead four startup founders on a discussion about what an individual should know before asking for money from traditional sources. Also at 10:00 a.m., Erin will speak at a session exploring the relationship between buyer and seller, as well as what each party is looking for, and what they settle for.
