Allison McCarthy & Christopher Marr participate in Canadian Bar Association – New Brunswick branch fall conference
The Canadian Bar Association – New Brunswick branch fall conference, Friday, September 18, will feature Fredericton partner Allison McCarthy as a session speaker and Saint John associate Christopher Marr as a session chair.
Allison will present at the morning session on construction law. Within his presentation, he will provide an introduction to public-private partnerships. He will look at this topic from a construction perspective and will present an overview of the types of P3 projects, including a discussion on the typical procurement process and project structure. Allison will also outline some common questions that construction contractors will need to address in project agreements.
Beginning at 1:00 p.m. AST, Chris will chair the session, Best practices when making an access to information request. This presentation will cover a variety of practical privacy law issues, including tips for, and what to avoid when dealing with access to information requests and the differences between access laws and privacy laws applicable to private industry and the public sector.
