Stewart McKelvey lawyers to be featured prominently in regional and national Canadian Bar Association webinars focusing on changes to workplaces as a result of COVID-19
Two Canadian Bar Association (“CBA”) webinars Tuesday, November 23, will feature Firm lawyers as speakers, discussing different changes businesses should expect following the COVID-19 pandemic.
Beginning at 12:00 p.m. AST, labour and employment lawyers Twila Reid, ICD.D (St. John’s office), Mark Tector (Halifax office) and Hilary Newman (Charlottetown office) will discuss the Atlantic perspectives of mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies. They will outline the potential issues involving the development, implementation and enforcement of these policies, as well as how employers and employees are navigating mandates.
At 1:00 p.m. AST, Halifax lawyer Andrew Burke will be part of a national panel providing insights on the practical, legal and technical considerations individuals should be aware of when conducting a virtual meeting. From managing privacy risks and virtual minute books, to keeping directors updated on obligations surrounding transparency, this session will help attendees efficiently address the challenges that can occur throughout the process.
