The Honourable James Cowan, QC, to discuss genetic discrimination at privacy law symposium
During the Canadian Bar Association Access to Information and Privacy Law Symposium this afternoon in Ottawa, the Honourable James Cowan, QC, will be the lunchtime keynote speaker.
Jim has fought for years as a legislator to protect Canadians from discrimination on the basis of genetic characteristics; his speech will discuss the work he has done in this area, including his instrumental role in Bill S-201, or the “Genetic Non-Discrimination Act”.
