Timothy Matthews, QC, TEP, becomes only Atlantic Canadian to join American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

Timothy Matthews, QC, TEP, has been elected as the only Atlantic Canadian Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”), and is one of only 18 Canadian lawyers to attain this membership.

During the annual meeting of ACTEC, 32 lawyers joined the Fellowship of approximately 2,600, which aims to improve and streamline trust and tax laws, related procedures and professional responsibility. Fellows must have at least 10 years of experience in a wide range of trust and estate matters in order to be considered, and are elected based on their industry reputation, skills and contributions to this particular area of law.
