Halifax partner Richard Niedermayer, TEP, will co-present the Canadian Bar Association webinar, The Changed Landscape: The Impact of New Tax Rules on Trusts and Estate Donations, September 17.

Changes to the Income Tax Act come into effect January 1, 2016 and will affect existing testamentary, alter-ego, spousal and joint partner trusts, as well as how individuals use these trusts for planning in the future. In addition to reviewing changes to these specific areas, Richard will also discuss how tax credits for charitable donations and gifts from estates and trusts will be impacted.
