Perlene Morrison, Charlottetown Partner, appointed King’s Counsel
Perlene Morrison, Partner in our Charlottetown office, has been appointed King’s Counsel. The announcement was made December 5 by Justice and Public Safety Minister and Attorney General of Prince Edward Island, Darlene Compton. This prestigious honour recognizes exemplary lawyers for their contributions to the field of law, leadership, professionalism, as well as their public and social contributions to improve the lives of all residents.
With degrees from University of Prince Edward Island and University New Brunswick, Perlene was called to the Bar in Prince Edward Island in 1998. She maintains a practice in real property, municipal, commercial and education law, and represents a number of municipalities, developers, utilities, vendors and purchasers. Throughout her career she has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers® and Lexpert® for her expertise.
Perlene is member of the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee (PEI) and a Board of Governors member with Junior Achievement of Prince Edward Island. Perlene is actively involved at UPEI, where she chairs the Human Resources Committee, and sits on the Board of Governors and the Alumni Association. Previously, Perlene was a member of the Stewart McKelvey management team (Charlottetown), and was the practice group leader for the Firm’s Commercial Real Property & Lending group.
