Paul Kiley, Charlottetown Partner, appointed King’s Counsel

Paul Kiley, Partner in our Charlottetown office, has been appointed King’s Counsel. The announcement was made last week by Deputy Premier, Minister of Justice and Public Safety, and Attorney General Bloyce Thompson. This prestigious honour is awarded to those who have made exceptional contributions and shown remarkable merit within the legal community.

Paul received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1995 and graduated from the University of New Brunswick Law School in 1998. He was called to the Bar in Prince Edward Island in 1999. He maintains a practice in Corporate Law and Banking and Finance Law and has been consistently recognized as a leader in these areas throughout his career. Just this year, Paul was recognized by Best Lawyers® as a Banking and Finance Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Charlottetown.

Outside of his professional achievements, Paul is an active member of his community; he is Past President of the PEI Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, Director at the Murchison Foundation, a former chair of the Law Foundation of PEI, and former Director of the Hospice Palliative Care Association of Prince Edward Island.

We congratulate Paul on this significant achievement.
