Partner Sheree Conlon elected new council member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society

Halifax partner Sheree Conlon has been elected for a two year term as a council member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society (“NSBS”), Halifax district.

Comprised of dedicated lawyers who understand the responsibilities required for the self governance of an independent legal body, this council is integral for providing guidance on the direction of NSBS. The council must ensure the activities of the society make a positive impact on the public and their view of the legal profession in Nova Scotia.

Sheree has a varied commercial and insurance litigation practice. An active member of the legal and local community, Sheree is on the board of directors of the Discovery Centre, has been the chair of the equity committee of the Canadian Bar Association – Nova Scotia branch, taught at the Schulich School of Law, volunteered at the NSBS Skills Course and has judged a number of regional moot competitions. She looks forward to furthering her contributions to the legal community as an NSBS council member.
