Ottawa-based partner John MacDonell returns to government
John MacDonell will take a one year leave of absence from the firm to assume the role of Chief of Staff to the Honourable Erin O’Toole, federal Minister of Veteran Affairs, commencing January 21. John has known Minister O’Toole for almost 20 years. It is the combination of the caliber of this minister and their shared sense of purpose with regard to Canada’s veterans, that has led John to accept this central role. John’s return to government underscores the high regard in which he is held by those in government, politics and in Canada’s military family.
