Moncton partner Robert Dysart appointed Queen’s Counsel

During a recent ceremony at the Legislative Assembly in Fredericton, partner Robert Dysart was appointed Queen’s Counsel. The distinction of Queen’s Counsel is given to experienced lawyers in recognition of their commitment to the legal profession and contributions to their communities.

Rob was called to the New Brunswick bar in 1997. He maintains a bilingual practice from the Firm’s Moncton office, acting as lead counsel for the Canadian Medical Protective Association and its members throughout New Brunswick. He routinely acts for insurance companies and for medium and large businesses in respect of commercial matters. Rob is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and was recently named the 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” for Insurance Law in Moncton by Best Lawyers. Lexpert and Benchmark Canada have also listed him as a leading practitioner in such areas as Medical Negligence, Commercial Litigation, Product Liability and Health Care Law.

In addition to a full practice, Rob gives back to the New Brunswick branch of the Canadian Bar Association as an elected member of council and as past Chair of the Insurance Law Section, and by acting as a Bar Admission Course instructor for the Law Society of New Brunswick.
