Joe Thorne & Giles Ayers discuss resetting limitation periods in Newfoundland & Labrador for Canadian Underwriter article

In a new piece (page 18) for the September 2016 issue of Canadian Underwriter, associate Joe Thorne and articled clerk Giles Ayers outline the decision of Tuck v Supreme Holdings and how it addresses confirmation and the resetting of limitation periods. This case, Joe and Giles note, is of particular importance to insurers, who should exercise caution when requesting and paying for information while investigation a plaintiff’s claim for damages.
