Halifax Partner Rory Rogers, K.C., inducted as a new Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers

We are pleased to announce that Rory Rogers, K.C., lawyer in our Halifax office, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) at its Annual General Meeting recently held in Rome, Italy.

Rory maintains a broad litigation and administrative law practice in areas including corporate and securities litigation, professional liability and directors’ and officers’ claims, shareholder disputes, professional discipline, and construction litigation. His clients have included public and private companies, governments, liability insurers, banks, architects and engineers.

Rory is a regular recipient of the Best Lawyers™ award in several practice areas, and has also been awarded their Lawyer of the Year in multiple categories. A member of the Canadian Bar Association, Rory was named to the King’s Counsel in 2011.

The ACTL is composed of preeminent members of the trial bar from the United States and Canada, and is recognized as the leading trial lawyer organization in both countries. Fellowship is extended by invitation to experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy, and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province, and is limited to only those trial lawyers who are unquestionably and eminently qualified, in addition to being regarded as the best in their state or province. Qualifications include high ethical and moral standards, as well as excellent character.

Congratulations Rory on this significant achievement!
