Deanne MacLeod, Halifax Partner, appointed King’s Counsel
Deanne MacLeod, Partner in our Halifax office, has been appointed King’s Counsel. The announcement was made earlier this week by Justice Minister and Attorney General of Nova Scotia, Brad Johns. This prestigious honour is awarded to those who have made exceptional contributions and shown remarkable merit within the legal community.
With degrees from Mount Saint Vincent University and Dalhousie University, Deanne was called to the Bar in Nova Scotia in 1997. She maintains a practice in a variety of areas including banking and financing, commercial transactions, competition law, corporate formation, education, mergers and acquisitions, and real property. Throughout her career, she has been consistently recognized by Lexpert® as a leader in the practice of law.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Deanne actively contributes to her community, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Phoenix Youth Programs. Previously, she held leadership positions on the Board of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and the Mount Saint Vincent University Board of Governors. Deanne is also a member of the Firm’s Partnership Board.
