Chris is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on corporate commercial, construction, insurance and class action litigation.

Chris maintains a broad commercial litigation practice, providing sophisticated and effective advice to clients involved in a wide variety of commercial disputes ranging from contractual claims to shareholder disputes, oppression proceedings, and leasing disputes.

Chris acts for a broad range of clients in the construction sector including public and private owners, general contractors, lenders, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals with respect to disputes involving breach of contract, tendering, delay, surety bonds, professional negligence and construction liens and trusts.

Chris also represents domestic and international insurers in the defence of claims involving serious personal injury, product liability, occupiers’ liability, municipal liability, and large property loss.

Chris has represented clients in all levels of courts in Nova Scotia, and in various administrative tribunals and domestic and international arbitrations.

Chris has been recognized by Lexpert Canada as a repeatedly recommended practitioner in the areas of corporate commercial litigation and commercial insurance litigation, and a Litigation Star by Benchmark Litigation Canada in the areas of commercial litigation and commercial insurance litigation.
