Scott’s practice has a litigation focus (civil as well as criminal) but expands to meet the needs of individual clients. Working with businesses (both small and large), insurers, professional associations, financial institutions, and individuals, Scott helps advance his clients’ interests through their proceeding or dispute, including:
- Representing professional associations in the defence of medical malpractice claims and before administrative tribunals in liability and disciplinary matters;
- Complex multi-party tort and contract based litigation (personal injury, commercial, insurance, professional negligence);
- Helping creditors obtain and enforce judgments through the Court process;
- Prosecuting offences contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Excise Act;
- Defending individuals charged with Criminal Code offences
