Taya has a diverse litigation practice, focused particularly in the areas of family and criminal litigation. Taya has experience assisting in the negotiation and resolution of ongoing divorce proceedings, including preparing submissions to the court on issues of parenting arrangements and the equalization of family property. Taya has also been involved on both sides of child protection and criminal proceedings, offering her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities involved in interactions between individuals and the state. Taya’s practice also includes labour and employment law as well as professional regulation and misconduct, including assisting clients in navigating workplace disputes and defending professionals in medical malpractice claims. Taya takes a client-first, trauma-informed approach to help her clients navigate high-stress situations with compassion and attentiveness. Taya is dedicated to ensuring her clients’ legal strategies and solutions are tailored to their unique needs.
