Emily enjoys a busy practice in the areas of secured lending and commercial transactions.

Emily advises businesses, financial institutions, and investors on a wide range of complex commercial matters, with particular depth in commercial financing, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, and contract negotiation. Drawing on years of experience working with financial institutions and government organizations, she provides strategic, business-focused counsel that helps clients confidently navigate intricate legal and regulatory challenges.

Emily has developed deep working relationships with clients across a diverse range of industries, including banking, aviation, construction, franchising, transportation, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, fisheries, technology, and commercial real estate. She is particularly passionate about gaining a thorough understanding of her clients’ businesses and objectives, enabling her to deliver targeted, practical solutions that drive their long-term success.

Emily has also developed a significant focus in aviation law, regularly advising on aircraft acquisitions and dispositions, aircraft financing transactions, and a other aviation-related commercial matters.

Her experience includes:

  • Representing lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of secured and unsecured financing transactions, including multi-party lending arrangements and involving industry-specific security.
  • Advising financial institutions and lenders on a full range of financial services regulatory compliance matters, including licensing, reporting, and ongoing operational requirements.
  • Negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements, including supply, service, transportation, franchise, and lease agreements.
  • Guiding clients through business acquisitions, strategic transactions, and corporate reorganizations at various stages of complexity and scale.
  • Advising on all aspects of aircraft acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions, including cross-border matters.
  • Advising on commercial real estate matters, including construction, financing, and the negotiation of purchase and sale transactions.
