Peter carries on an extensive practice focusing on labour, employment and pension and employee benefits law. Pension and benefit plan liabilities, managing employee health and family issues and maintaining operating flexibility are all challenges faced by today’s employers. Peter works with manufacturers, health care providers, universities, and school boards to overcome these challenges. Peter has helped his clients navigate these difficult challenges by:
- Negotiating collective bargaining agreements for multiple new long-term care facilities.
- Successfully advising a major manufacturer who has been operating union free for over 25 years.
- Advising sponsors of some of the largest pension plans in Atlantic Canada on a broad range of issues including plan funding, governance, surplus entitlement and wind-up.
