Three lawyers participating in upcoming Atlantic Venture Forum
Rob Aske, Trevor MacDonald and Adam Bata will be speaking at the third annual Atlantic Venture Forum in Halifax, Nova Scotia, June 10 and 11, of which Stewart McKelvey is a Pathfinder sponsor.
This event brings individuals together from the entrepreneurial and investment communities to discuss emerging and established tech innovations and build relationships with others in these areas.
Beginning at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, Trevor will introduce the session, “TechTalks”, mini-discussions on the technology commercialization business. This series features Brian Bloom, co-founder and president of Bloom Burton & Co., David Harris Kolada, vice president, Alliances and Market Development of SDTC and Mike Woollatt, chief executive officer of CVCA.
Rob will provide the opening remarks to William Hurley’s keynote presentation, Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. William, otherwise known as “whurley”, is a thought leader in the areas of mobile technology and open source software and is the co-founder of Chaotic Moon Studios, a mobile and development company with clients that include Disney, Intel, Starbucks and Whole Foods.
On the second day of this forum, Thursday, June 11, Adam will introduce the Growth Stage Presenting Companies session at 9:30 a.m., “TechTalks”, featuring Chief Technology Officer of TrackGroup Tom Gilgan at 11:00 a.m., Early Stage Company Presentations at 11:20 a.m. and “TechTalks” at 1:30 p.m. with Brent Newsome, vice president of Buisness Development and GM Canadian Operations at NewNet Communications Technologies.
