Stewart McKelvey contributes $100,000 to New Brunswick Museum capital campaign
SAINT JOHN, NB – The New Brunswick Museum is pleased to announce a $100,000 contribution from Stewart McKelvey to Making History Now, the museum’s capital campaign supporting the development of a revitalized, world-class museum that will serve New Brunswickers for generations.
“We are delighted to have the support of Stewart McKelvey, a firm with strong roots in New Brunswick that, over the past 35 years, has grown across the Atlantic region to become one of Canada’s top law firms,” said Tracy Clinch, Chairman of the New Brunswick Museum Board of Directors. “Their gift of $100,000 helps the museum build and continue its mission to inspire curiosity, foster learning, and safeguard our province’s rich natural and cultural heritage for future generations.”
“We believe museums play a vital role in connecting people to history, culture, the natural world around us and innovation. The team at Stewart McKelvey is honored to support a new life for a treasured historic landmark and an exciting new building that will continue the incredible work being done at the New Brunswick Museum.” said Lydia Bugden, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Partner of Stewart McKelvey. “This donation reflects our commitment to strengthening community engagement and ensuring that cultural institutions remain vibrant, accessible spaces for all.”
When completed, the New Brunswick Museum will offer more than 134,000 square feet of space, including a new accessible main entrance at the historic Douglas Avenue site, as well as expanded galleries and exhibition spaces, a 118-seat auditorium, a rooftop terrace and more.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
