M. Ross Langley joins Stewart McKelvey as Counsel
Effective January 6, we are pleased to welcome Ross Langley, JD/MBA, LL.M (Corporate) back to Stewart McKelvey in his new role as Counsel in our Halifax office. Ross previously served as a Partner in the Firm’s labour and employment group before departing in 2002 to take on a senior executive role in industry.
With over two decades of experience as a senior executive and chief legal officer across a diverse range of industries—including manufacturing, transportation, natural resources, construction, and retail—Ross brings invaluable insight into complex commercial negotiations, Federal government procurement and contracting, strategic labour and employment matters, and corporate governance. His background uniquely blends legal expertise with practical business acumen, enabling him to deliver solutions aligned with clients’ strategic objectives.
Ross has also pursued extensive legal and business training, completing programs such as the Harvard Mediation Intensive certificate course, the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Corporate Governance program through the University of Toronto, and INSEAD’s International Corporate Governance certificate program.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ross remains deeply committed to his community. He currently serves as a Director with the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission and as Governor with the Acadia University Board of Governors. Previously, he was a Board member of the QEII Hospital Foundation.
We are thrilled to have Ross rejoin Stewart McKelvey, where his experience and leadership will greatly benefit our clients and Firm.
